Leaders of a local youth football program have wanted to use Bishop Stadium for years, but the USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden school board hasnt allowed it.
Buck Driggs, president of the Manhattan Youth Football Association, said the organization has held five games a year at K-States Bill Snyder Family Stadium. However, efforts to use the districts stadium in CiCo Park have failed.
Coming from a small town, its hard to fathom that a town the size of Manhattan has no place for us to play our local youth football games, Driggs said.
