Weve crossed 23:00 BST, so thats it for the Womens Super League transfer window.

The deal thats dominated deadline day is finally complete. England forward Nikita Parris has left Manchester United to join Brighton.

Parris joined United in August 2022 from Arsenal and went on to score 25 goals across 57 appearances for United.

She was the Red Devils top scorer in 2023-24, but they have now recruited Brighton striker Elisabeth Terland which would likely limit her minutes.

With Parris contract due to expire in the summer, United triggered an option clause to extend her stay by another year, knowing any interested party would need to pay a fee.

Championship club Birmingham City have signed Brighton forward Lee Geum-min on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Lee made 93 appearances during her time at Brighton, scoring 13 goals in the process. She reunites with Blues boss Amy Merricks, who was former interim manager at Brighton.

She initially joined Brighton on loan from Manchester City in the summer of 2020 before making her switch permanent at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Im really excited, the South Korea international said. This journey is new for me and I cant wait to get started.

Ive worked with Amy at Brighton and Im really happy to work with her again. I cant wait to start playing for Birmingham City.

Lee has represented her country at the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Womens World Cups.

Womens Super League clubs have been involved in business throughout the day today as they look to get deals over the line before the 23:00 BST deadline.

Tottenham sign Spain midfielder Oroz from Real Madrid

published at 21:30 British Summer Time 13 September

Tottenham have signed Spain midfielder Maite Oroz from Real Madrid on a four-year deal, subject to international clearance and work visa.

She was a co-captain for Real and made 146 appearances during her four-year spell with the team from Spains top flight.

Her league performances earned her a call-up to Spains national team in 2021 and she has gone on to collect 15 caps and score four goals for her country.

Oroz is Tottenhams sixth permanent signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Clare Hunt, Ella Morris, Hayley Raso, Amanda Nilden and Anna Csiki.

Chelsea have signed Dutch defender Veerle Buurman from PSV Eindhoven on a four-year deal and immediately loaned her back to PSV for the 2024-25 campaign.

Buurman, 18, said the move is perfect for her career and their vision for her development aligns perfectly with hers.

Chelsea is a top club and the reigning champion of England, Buurman said. I feel honoured that such a big club has come forward at this stage.

However, Im happy to spend another year at PSV, continuing to develop at the highest level in the Netherlands.

Crystal Palace have signed experienced 32-year-old American striker Katie Stengel from NJ/NY Gotham FC.

Stengel joins Palace on a two-year deal from the National Womens Soccer League club.

She left Liverpool for Gotham in September 2023 after spending the summer on loan in the United States.

Stengel, who scored 17 goals in 33 games for Liverpool during the 2022-23 season, said she was very excited to return to England.

I loved the WSL when I was playing in England, Im just happy to be back and to get an opportunity, she said.

We knew that West Ham and Crystal Palace wanted to be busy today and it looks like Palace certainly are.

Theyve already announced two, were expecting maybe one more. I think they are after a defender.

Nikita Parris is the name on everyones lips today. It looks like the Manchester United forward is on her way to Brighton. She has been down there today trying to formalise terms over a permanent move.

This comes as no surprise really, there has been a lot of speculation about her moving this summer. The club were anticipating this and they exercised an option in her contract which ensured that if any club did come in then they will receive a fee. It looks like that will go through before the 11pm deadline.

That would be a big signing for Brighton, a loss for Manchester United.

West Ham have signed Brighton defender Li Mengwen on loan for the rest of the season.

The 29-year-old China right-back brings much-needed depth to West Hams defence after they lost Risa Shimizu to Manchester City this summer.

Mengwen was also in talks over a potential move to Crystal Palace but arrived for a medical at West Ham earlier on Friday.

She joined Brighton in 2023, going on to make 11 appearances, having previously spent a season on loan at Paris St-Germain.

Brighton manager Dario Vidosic said: This will be a great opportunity for Li to get more minutes under her belt in the WSL. Well be monitoring her progress and wish her the best for the season.

Manchester United winger Alyssa Aherne has joined Championship club Sheffield United on a season-long loan.

Red Devils academy graduate Aherne, 20, penned her first professional contract with the club in May 2023.

Manager Marc Skinner said the move is a great opportunity for her to get senior experience.

She spent the first half of last season on loan at Everton.

This season-long loan will be a great opportunity for Alyssa to play valuable first team minutes as part of her long-term development, in the competitive Womens Championship, he said.

We look forward to monitoring Alyssas progress throughout the season.

Brighton have already announced the arrival of young Arsenal forward Michelle Agyemang on loan and they are negotiating the final details of Nikita Parris contract to bring her in from Manchester United.

So will there be any departures to make room? Ive been told Lee Geum-min was not involved in training at Brighton today…

Crystal Palace have signed 24-year-old defender Lily Woodham on loan until the end of January.

Woodham captained Reading in the 2023-24 season before signing for Seattle Reign.

The Wales international joined Reading in 2018 from Bristol City, making 65 appearances for the Royals.

Were still waiting on some announcements.

Nikita Parris is in Brighton to complete her move from Manchester United on a permanent deal. They are finalising the terms.

Meanwhile, West Ham are set to sign Brighton defender Li Mengwen on loan.

We also believe there could potentially be more incomings at Crystal Palace, while Tottenham have been working hard to sign a midfielder.

There has been no news on Manchester Uniteds pursuit for a goalkeeper.

Everton have offered Rylee Foster a short-term deal. She is a free agent so does not have to rush the paperwork if she wants to sign.

Brighton forward Lily Dent has joined Womens Championship side Portsmouth on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old has made four appearances in all competitions for Brighton, having made her debut in January against Chelsea.

Dent recently signed her first professional contract with the club.

Meanwhile, Grace McEwen has also joined Portsmouth on a dual registration and will be eligible to play for Brightons under-19s as well as the Championship club.

Weve already had a couple of confirmed moves on Womens Super League deadline day and there are some others to keep an eye on.

Teams have until 23:00 BST to complete any transfers.

We needed this kind of player

published at 16:10 British Summer Time 13 September

London City Lionesses manager Jocelyn Precheur says Sofia Jakobsson is exactly the sort of player his team needed to recruit.

This is the profile of player we needed for so many reasons, said Precheur. First, as a striker, Sofia has characteristics we didnt have before she likes to attack the space and dribble a lot.

She is such a talented player and is someone who we really wanted in our team because she has such great experience. She perfectly understands what it means to perform at a high level and we needed this kind of player to guide the team and help develop our project.

Im very happy and proud that we convinced Sofia to join us. Im sure she will bring her experience, qualities, and professionalism, making her a very good example to follow.

Sweden forward Sofia Jakobsson says there are no limits on what London City Lionesses can achieve after joining the club on a two-year deal.

I think that would be the coolest thing I could do in my career, to bring up a team to the highest league and go from there, Jakobsson told BBC Sport.

It would be amazing to do that this year. There are no limits for this team.

Despite offers from elsewhere, Jakobsson was drawn to London City Lionesses due to the ambition shown by the club to develop womens football.

I felt this was a really interesting project, especially with Michele Kang as the owner, said Jakobsson.

Its really interesting to be part of a club that is supporting women and wants to do something big. I have been on journeys like this before with Real Madrid and San Diego Wave, who were new teams.
